Larry Witte, PhD
Dr. Witte serves as Executive Vice President, Research and Development at Kadmon. Prior to this role, he was Senior Vice President of Research at ImClone Systems. Dr. Witte joined ImClone Systems in 1990 and oversaw its research activities. An authority in the areas of molecular and cell biology and cancer research, Dr. Witte has authored or co-authored over 70 publications. Dr. Witte also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Anatomy and Cell Biology at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons (P&S).
Dr. Witte earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology (1970) and his Ph.D. degree in Physiology (1974) from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa. He then completed a postdoctoral program in Cell Biology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons (1974-1977) under Dr. DeWitt Goodman and completed a research fellowship in Cell Biology at the Mayo Clinic (1977-1979). Dr. Witte then returned to Columbia University where he held a dual faculty appointment in the Department of Medicine and the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology.
